So, it's nearly the end of February, and you say you still haven't planned your spring break trip? Never fear. We've rounded up some of the best last minute deals to spring break destinations both typical and atypical, from Mexico to Europe to Bali to Hong Kong.

STA Travel, (tel. 800/781-4040; www.statravel.com) a discount student travel operator, is offering all kinds of deals, including a February airfare sale, a free day on Eurail, the lowdown on hostels, and other deep discounts on packages for travel all over the world. Membership is free -- you can create an account right on the site -- which makes you eligible for their discounted prices.

Their fare sales (click on the icon right on their home page) offer flights to London from New York from just $174 (travel valid through April 2), to Fiji from $756 (travel valid through April 30), from Denver to Mexico City from $206 (travel through April 8), Chicago to Buenos Aires from $750 (travel through April 8), and more.

STA lists dozens of last minute trips with various departure dates to just about anywhere you can imagine. Top destinations include Cancun from $569, based on Philadelphia departure. The package is budget-oriented and includes seven nights of accommodations at various properties; sample accommodations listed include Cancun Club Marina, with a swim-up bar. Or upgrade to a VIP package, priced from $1,396, which gives you more partying options -- 18 bars and restaurants -- at the Oasis Cancun. The prices include round-trip airfare, hotel-airport transfers, seven nights of accommodations, 24-hour on-location staff, and hotel taxes.

Montego Bay or Negril, Jamaica is available from the same $569 price based on Miami departure. The sample Bungalo Hotel in Negril they list is priced from $699; Hotel Montego in Montego Bay was recently renovated and is priced from $599. With many STA trips you can opt for pricing for two or four people; the larger the group, the cheaper the price.

Contiki (tel. 866/266-8454; www.contiki.com) runs tours for 18-25 year olds to over 100 destinations, and recently opened two new resorts. Its Bali Resort offers pricing for four nights or seven nights, land only, from triple to single occupancy. For a four-night stay up to March 31, a twin, pool view room costs just $195 per person, and includes brunch, dinner and transfers to and from Ngurah Rai airport. A seven-night stay is priced at $327 and includes the same amenities. There are not any specials during spring break running for their other resort, located in Mykonos, Greece. Other, non-resort tours, too numerous to detail here, are available to Europe, major cities in the U.S., Australia and beyond.

Student Universe (tel. 800/272-9676; www.studentuniverse.com) is a good place to investigate student-specific airfares and comparison shop against the deals offered by major airlines. Right now, sample fares to Europe are priced from a low $159 round-trip: New York-London, $159, Chicago-Paris, $292; and Detroit-Berlin, $310. The last departure date for these examples is March 31, but each city has its own stipulations such as advance purchase, valid travel days, and minimum or maximum stay. Student Universe assesses a $5 service fee, and the fares don't include most taxes.

In terms of packages, the "Build Your Break Spring 2006" deals feature Hawaii from $413 and London from $263 -- they include air and seven nights hostel accommodations. The rate for London is based on New York departure and Hawaii is priced from select west coast cities to either Honolulu or Maui.

Depending on your departure city and final destination, it might be worth comparing Student Universe's fares with the ones Travelocity (tel. 888/872-8356; www.travelocity.com) is currently offering. The "Spring Deals to Europe" fare sale, advertises prices from $277 round-trip for travel completed by April 2. Purchase tickets by March 28. Sample prices include New York to London $277, Boston to Frankfurt $299, Minneapolis/St. Paul to Copenhagen $421, and Orlando to Paris, $340. There's no advance purchase required, either.

Finally, if none of these deals appeal to you and you want to head somewhere far, far away, United (tel. 800/864-8331; www.united.com) is running a fare sale to Southeast Asian destinations, good for travel through March 30. Sample fares given are one-way based on round-trip ticket purchase; Chicago to Hong Kong $395; New York to Singapore, $340; San Francisco to Ho Chi Minh City $425. You must purchase by March 2 (the sale was just extended), at least seven days before you depart, and it's valid for off-peak travel Monday through Thursday with a six-day minimum stay.
