Norwegian Cruise Line (tel. 866/234-0292; www.ncl.com) is offering free best-available cabin upgrades fleetwide on inside, outside and balcony categories for most fall 2007 and winter 2008 sailings. Pay the lowest fare available for an inside, outside or balcony, cabin and you'll automatically receive the best-available upgrade within that category at the time of booking (inside to inside, outside to outside, etc). The point is, the earlier you book, the more upgrade potential there will be. Some restrictions apply, and deal applies to new bookings only and can not be combined with other promotions.

Envy the Explorer

Book by Aug. 31 and board save 10% on two of INTRAV's (tel. 800/ 456-8100; www.intrav.com) Antarctica and Falkland Islands sailings aboard the 122-passenger Clipper Adventurer. The 20-day "Grand Expeditions to Antarctica and the Falkland Islands" departs Dec. 2, 2007 from Santiago, Chile and returns via Buenos Aires, Argentina. The trip includes six full days of expedition cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula, and two days at the Falkland Islands; fares start at $8,676 per person. South America Fares go South

For insides, the first passenger pays as little as $4,999, and the second passenger half, from $2,500; for outsides, the first person rate starts at $5,999 and the second person at $3,000; a deluxe oceanview cabin starts at $6,499 for the first person, and $3,250 for the second. Fares are based on double occupancy and include the 16-night cruise, plus two nights hotel stay in Buenos Aires and an optional tour to Iguasu Falls.
