Last October the east coast of Mexico, especially the coastal areas of the Yucatan Peninsula, suffered devastating damage at the mercy of Hurricane Wilma. This year the region has rebounded with new resorts, renovated properties and a lot of government spending put into restoring the infrastructure around the resort areas of the Cancun, Cozumel and Riviera Maya. As hurricane season is once again upon us, we can only hope that this year brings clear skies and uninterrupted vacations.
