This week's smart deal, the "Taj Mahal Express," has a price of $999 per person for eight days, roundtrip airfare from New York-JFK, daily buffet breakfast, airline fuel surcharges; departures from other cities are not possible. You must book by March 27 in order to take advantage of savings up to $800 per couple. The lowest advertised price reflects June 19 and September 2 departures but in the process of writing up this deal, the latter date sold out. Other tours, such as June 3 and September 9, are available from $1,099. Many other dates are available too in May, June and September and are priced at either $1,199 or $1,299.
As with the rest of the company's tours, this one includes round-trip airfare from New York to India, intra-India ground transportation, accommodations at deluxe hotels with private bathrooms, full American breakfast daily, farewell dinner in Delhi, tours to the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikiri, an English-speaking tour director with lots of experience The tour includes Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra -- the Taj Mahal, Itad-Ud-Daulah -- the "Baby Taj," Fatehpur Sikiri, Jaipur, and the Amber Fort. There is also the opportunity to stay a little bit longer with an extension to Nepal from $759 and Mumbai from $375.
