He's visited 13 countries (well, technically 17 if you count airports and the USA—the Helsinki airport is lovely, by the way). He visited his first country, Spain, out of college at age 25. Right after landing in Madrid, he got nauseous on a bus ride through La Mancha, was unceremoniously dropped off in front of the Alhambra, and has been in love with international travel ever since. He prefers a window seat.
