I'm excited--make that thrilled--to announce that the second leg of our book tour, celebrating the launch of the NEW Frommer guidebooks, will kick off in the Chicago area on January 9 and 11. I'm hoping that lots of Frommer's readers will brave the chill to come out and talk travel.
I'll be discussing:
*Sneaky strategies for saving money on all sorts of travel (from airfares to luxury safaris to family vacations and more)
*Methods for seeing the more authentic side of the destination you're visiting
*And terrific vacation spots you may not have considered (I'll be brining slides along for that part of the talk).
The January 9th speech will be at 7pm at the Highland Park Library, 494 Laurel Avenue, Highland Park (http://hplibrary.org).
On January 11th, I'll be appearing at the Chicago Travel and Adventure Show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 555 N. River Road, Rosemont. My speech will be at 11.
Both appearances will be followed by book signings.
