It has been so wonderful meeting readers across the United States on this book tour. For the next two stops, it's a return to the great state of California.
On February 5 at 7:30pm, I'mhonored to be speaking at Warwick's Books in La Jolla, an institution that has been around since 1896, making it the USA's oldest family-owned and operated bookstore. The address is 7812 Gerard Avenue in La Jolla, California. I'll be taking the stage at 7:30pm to discuss recent trends in travel, the way to save money in all price ranges and some destinations you may not have considered. Afterwards, I'll be signing the new Frommer's guidebooks.
Then on Saturday, its off to Long Beach for the LA Travel and Adventure Show. That will be a parade of "travel stars", so it should be quite the event. Also on the bill is the always witty and informative Samantha Brown (from the Travel Channel), Peter Greenberg (the travel editor for CBS News), Rick Steves (you all know who he is!) and Patricia Schultz (author of 1000 Places to See Before You Die). If you click on the link above you'll get the full schedule. The show is at the Long Beach Convention Center.
As always, we must thank Allianz Travel Insurance for their support of this book tour. We truly couldn't have done this without them!
