In Honor of Valentine's Day: Jump on Amtrak's BOGO Spring-and-Summer Sale

What's sweeter than chocolate but more appreciated than thorny roses?

Taking your sweetheart on a trip, of course.

The United States' national railroad is trying to make that type of Valentine's Day gift more affordable with its current buy-one-get-one-free sale.

The discount is pegged to Valentine's Day, but you get two extra days to get your gift in: Travel must be booked by the end of February 16.

Journeys must be taken between March 1 and August 31, 2022.

The savings are solid. Rides between New York City and Philadelphia drop to $18 per person (based on this twofer), Chicago–Milwaukee is $25, and Los Angeles–Seattle goes for $101, to name just a few of the discounted city pairs. The sale is not good for sleepers, but it is good for Acela trains in the Northeast.

Here are the full details on the "Amtrak Loves You" sale. If you're using the Amtrak app, use the discount code V214. And happy Valentine's Day!
