Software giant Adobe recently unveiled a new smartphone application that should appeal to amateur photographers on vacation. Called Monument Mode, it eliminates photobombers and other tourists from your photographs.
Basically, it works like this: It can tell the difference between moving objects and stationary ones, and it records the stationary object—the tourist sight you're shooting—and disregards the moving ones—the tourists who walk into your shot. We presume it works best when you use a tripod and take multiple images so the app can fill in all the information it needs.
Adobe hasn't yet announced a release date for this new technology, but you can see how it works in this clip from the company's MAX conference last week.
