How to Get Free Flights on United Airlines Just by Getting Vaccinated

Beyond protection from a horrific virus that has killed nearly 4 million people worldwide (incentive in and of itself, one would think), vaccination will now provide a potent perk for some lucky folks: free travel.

United Airlines has launched a sweepstakes called Your Shot to Fly, which gives five lucky winners up to 26 flights for two, in any cabin, and on any route the airline flies, to be used within a year.

Entrants must be members of United's loyalty program, but that's free to join and anyone can do it just to enter the contest. And participants must get vaccinated—also free—and show it by uploading proof.

"We’re proud to do our part to incentivize people to get their shot," United CEO Scott Kirby said in a press release. "Thanks to the vaccine, more and more destinations are opening up for travel—and we know our customers are eager to fly. We’re excited to give people one more reason to get vaccinated so they can reunite with friends and family or take that long-awaited vacation which all could be just one shot away."

In addition to the five winners, 30 people who take second place will get one free trip for two anywhere United and United Express fly.

Entries must be received by June 22, at 11:59 ET. United will announce the winners on July 1. Click here to enter.
