If it’s the journey that matters and not the destination, then Yahoo Lab’s latest initiative should improve travelers’ lives. According to a recently published paper, the scientists working for Yahoo will soon release a navigation app that will suggest routes that are the most “emotionally pleasant”. By that, they mean reasonably direct routes that are scenic and quiet. The app will be geared mostly to walkers, and they’ll use crowd sourcing to judge the pulchritude of the passing vistas.
