Canny Air Canada Sells Fall & Winter Seats Cheaper

If you can plan ahead for trips to Canada or destinations beyond this fall and winter, get your wallet out and book before September 30, 2002, for trips that can begin as early as September 26, 2002, and end as late as February 28, 2003. The prices, as is usual with Air Canada seasonal sales, are great, the savings substantial. Like roundtrip Washington, D.C. to Toronto for just $155. Air Canada says these fares represent savings of up to 40%, based on lowest year-round published fares.

Sample roundtrip airfares include the following:

  • Atlanta to Toronto $201, Montreal $230

  • Boston to Toronto $166, Montreal $156, Vancouver $352
  • Chicago to Toronto $166, Montreal $201, Calgary $277
  • Houston to Toronto $272, Calgary $322
  • Los Angeles to Toronto $340, Montreal $354, Halifax $312
  • New York/Newark to Toronto $156, Montreal $160, Vancouver $352
  • Philadelphia to Toronto $156, Halifax $231
  • Phoenix to Toronto $243, Halifax $308
  • San Francisco to Toronto $295, Montreal $310, Halifax $323
  • Washington DC to Montreal $171, Ottawa $158

There are plenty of other city pairs, as the sale is good to over 150 destinations worldwide. There are some blackout periods, namely between December 19-23, 2002 and January 2-5, 2003. The last departure for international destinations is December 12, 2002, unless otherwise specified. All travel to Canadian and U.S. destinations must be completed by February 28, 2003 (except to Florida, Hawaii and Las Vegas, in which case travel must be completed by December 18, 2002). Rates quoted here do not include taxes, airport service charges or other fees.
