More Time for Moorea & the Rest of Paradise: The Sale Keeps Going to the South Pacific

May 5, 2003 -- Tahiti Vacations has extended its splendiferous May-only deals through June 23, 2003, giving everyone a chance to consider visiting the one of the most sought after island destinatoins in the world. Prices for seven-night packages start as low as $999, including air from Los Angeles.

You'll stay at the Sofitel Maeva Beach hotel on Tahiti itself. If you want Moorea's Sofitel Ia Ora, the price is $1,149. Go a bit farther to the Sofitel Heiva on Huahine and it's $1,299 and up. Finally, on Bora Bora, you have a choice of the Sofitel Marara starting from $1,699 or the more exclusive Sofitel Motu from $2,199.

Also on Bora Bora is the Lagoon Resort (operated by famed Orient Express Hotels), where you get six nights and one dinner for just $1,899.

You could try less visited islands, too. Pearl Resorts has a three-night-per-island deal on Moorea and Raiatea from $1,499, or Tahiti and the Marquesas from $2,099. On the latter promotion, you'll spend three nights each on Tahiti, Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa at the Royal Tahitien and Pearl Lodges. A really far-out 11-night package, priced at $2,699, takes you for three nights on Tikehau, three on Manihi, three on Moorea (all at Pearl Beach hotels) and two nights on Tahiti at the Royal Tahitien.

All packages include roundtrip air from Los Angeles on Air Tahiti Nui, lodging in beachfront properties, daily buffet breakfast, room tax, inter-island air travel, all transfers and baggage handling and a lei greeting. These deals are valid for departures to June 23, 2003, with all travel completed by June 30, 2003.

Prices are per person based on double occupancy for travel Sunday to Thursday. Airport taxes are not included, and run to about $65. Certain restrictions apply.
