Originally from nearby Lemeche Island, Robert Noel learned about wine and food in the resort towns of the Rocky Mountains before returning home to open this trendy wine bar and restaurant. With an open kitchen, and a bar where there’s a hip buzz, Noel says he’s out to provide dining experiences by creating pairings that show off both the wines he selects (from around the world and local foods) with contemporary curveballs like his signature Lobster Mac and Cheese made with twisty torchietti noodles bathed in a creamy Mornay sauce. Other traditional comfort foods that appear in upscale versions include Bar Clam Poutine made with local artisan cheese and clams harvested on the sand flats over which the sun sets, the scene that is the view from the restaurant’s windows.
