One of Chile's oldest and most respected wineries, Errazuriz was founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errazuriz, a member of one of Chile's most illustrious families, as it includes four presidents as well as a number of diplomats and writers. The particular appeal of this lovely winery resides in its Spanish-style architecture that dates to 1850, and there are sweeping views of the valley and the Andes and an impressive underground barrel cellar. This vineyard is renowned for its natural techniques and delicate production methods, which are employed to create complex and elegant wines. Both their cabernet sauvignon and La Cumbre syrah are ranked internationally as some of Chile's best wines. Tour 1 visits the cellar and estate ($20/£13 per person, with two tastings), and Tour 2 adds a walk to the top of La Cumbre for views ($25/£17 per person, with three tastings). Groups can book lunch, but you'll need to book far in advance. For driving details, print out the map on their website under "Wine Stores & Tours."
