If you have a sweet tooth, head to Haigh's Chocolates Visitors Centre (a 5-min. drive from the city center) for free tastings, displays, and a peek into the chocolate production process. Established in 1915, Haigh's is Australia's oldest chocolate manufacturer, and Adelaide locals swear it is the best-tasting chocolate anywhere. Free guided tours are run Monday to Saturday at 11am, 1, and 2pm (the factory is not fully operational on Sat, so go midweek if you can), and bookings are essential. Wheelchair and pram access is limited.
