Getting There & Getting Around -- Both JetBlue and Continental have nonstop flights from East Coast destinations, particularly from New York and Florida, direct to the Rafael Hernández Airport (Antigua Base Ramey, Hangar 405, Aguadilla; tel. 787/891-2226). Many other flights offer connections from San Juan onto Aguadilla.

There are branches of Avis (tel. 787/890-3311), Budget (tel. 787/890-1110), and Hertz (tel. 787/833-3170) at the Aguadilla airport.

If you're driving from San Juan, travel west on the De Diego Expressway, Rte. 22, then Rte. 2 (trip time: 2 hr.).

Visitor Information -- There is a Puerto Rico Tourism Company office in Aguadilla for the whole northwest region, from Mayagüez in the south through Isabela on the north coast (tel. 787/890-3315).
