Hammam al-Basha (Turkish Bath)
Down at the end of Al-Jezzar Street, just around the corner, these handsome baths were built by Ahmed al Jezzar Pasha as part of his mosque complex in the 1780s. Along with an informative interactive show about the baths and their centrality to daily life, the museum’s collections include antiquities, an exhibit on Napoleon’s attack, the Museum of Heroism, and a folklore exhibit.
