Side Trips in Alberobello and the Trulli District

Frankly, unless you have a reason to stay over, we'd visit Alberobello just for the day, check out the trulli, and then move on to neighboring towns. Alberobello has a crowded tour bus scene and a lot of tacky souvenirs being hawked. The satellite towns of Monopoli and Martina Franca are far less discovered, within an easy commute, and full of charm.
