This fascinating but not-too-large park has a flamingo lake, Japanese garden, and unusual breeds of some domestic animals, among other attractions. The park is perfect for families with children. Check out the newly converted £85,000 bat house, where a family of 20 Rodrigues fruit bats (also called mega bats) have taken up residence. With a wingspan of about 1m (3 ft.) and rich golden brown fur, they are one of the most beautiful and rarest bat species in the world.
