Pensión Portugal

Who says you can’t do a beach town on the cheap? The tiny but immaculate rooms in this upstairs pension near the bus station are fine places to sleep, and they do have air-conditioning, a must in tight city quarters during most of the year. Some open onto the central courtyard, while the exterior units all have tiny private terraces. Only eight rooms have private bathrooms with showers, but the shared bathrooms in the corridors are actually more spacious. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, the harbor about 5 minutes.
