Getting Around in Amarante
ARRIVING
BY BUS—The Rodonorte company (www.rodonorte.pt, tel. 259 340 71) runs up to 15 buses a day from Porto's Rua Ateneu Comercial do Porto, 19, to Amarante. The journey lasts 50 minutes and costs 7.90€. There is no rail service.
BY CAR—Amarante is a 40 minute drive from Porto on the A4 autostrada.

The Tourist Office is at Largo Councilor Antonio Candido (www.cm-amarante.pt, tel/ 255 420 246). It's open June–Sept daily 9am–7pm, Oct–May daily 9am–6pm.
