Wooden two-story buildings painted bright purples, blues, and reds make up this waterfront resort 7 miles north of San Pedro town. Though more sparsely decorated than other resorts in the area, every room here is oversized, with its own private veranda and a kitchenette, making it a good choice for a longer stay. There’s a large pool in the center of the buildings, but the beach is refreshing as well, especially when enjoyed with their complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, and water trampoline. This is one of the more cost-effective options in the area, and just so you know, it’s pronounced “Ish-tan-ha.”
