Wateredge Inn stands on the shores of Lake Windermere, a short walk from Ambleside center. Set across two former 17th-century fisherman's cottages, it offers a large bar and restaurant, cozy bedrooms and period features. The individual bedrooms each have a private bathroom and tea and coffee-making facilities. Rooms also have a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and a comfortable sitting area. Many rooms feature lake views and some have lake-view balconies or garden patios. The popular and atmospheric bar-restaurant serves traditional British cuisine using fresh local produce and features exposed beams, log fires and lake views. Generous full English breakfasts are served each morning and you can also enjoy a range of real ales and world wines in the evenings. Surrounded by beautiful lakes and mountains, Wateredge has its own boat ramp and jetty and is just feet from the steamer pier for cruises down the lake. While staying at the Wateredge Inn, guests can use a local club with a swimming pool. The Inn is also close to popular walking tracks and cycle paths.
