When it comes to location, Brett’s wins as the only place in town where you can eat and drink while watching the boats come and go on the river and the sun set over the marshes. And the food’s pretty good too. One of the best dishes is the shrimp and grits, served with collard greens and Vidalia onion threads. Another good one is the low country boil with expertly cooked crawfish, clams, and shrimp. Don’t come expecting a fancy seafood spot. This is as Lowcountry as it gets on Amelia Island.
