Joining the trio of Amsterdam’s notable art institutions on Museumplein is this small museum devoted mainly to street art. Inside a lovely turn-of-the-century mansion in the shadow of the Rijksmuseum, local gallerists Lionel and Kim Logchies have assembled an impressive number of works by rock-star graffiti artist Banksy, including one of his most iconic stencils, “Girl with Balloon.” The permanent collection also includes pieces by pioneering street artist Keith Haring, as well as works by Pop Art masters Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Temporary exhibitions have featured contemporary virtuosos such as Yayoi Kusama and Iranian street art duo Icy and Sot.
