The Houseboat Museum is found on board the Hendrika Maria, a freighter that was built in 1914, and was busily transporting sand up until the 1960s. A self-guided tour won’t take more than 15 minutes as there’s not that much to see but it offers the opportunity to glimpse life aboard one of Amsterdam’s 2,500 houseboats. Moored on the Prinsengracht near Elandsgracht.
