This hotel, in a town house that dates from 1890 across from the Rijksmuseum's rear, is ideal for museumgoers on a budget. The breakfast room, which has numerous stained-glass windows, commands an excellent view of the museum. Proprietor Robin de Jong has filled guest rooms with eclectic furniture that spans from the 1930s (think English wicker) to the present day. Many rooms share bathroom facilities. Note that there's no elevator and the staircase up to reception is quite steep.
