Quite simply one of the most gorgeous hotels in the city, with individually decorated room boasting genuine antique furnishings in a variety of opulent Biedermeier, Art Deco, or rococo styles with original 17th-century wooden floors. The attic rooms have sloped ceilings and exposed wood beams and provide the perfect romantic hideaway for couples, while room number 5 has a lovely private terrace. There are no public spaces beyond the entrance lobby, which cuts overhead and may explain the exceptionally reasonable prices for a hotel of such comfort and opulence. As with so many Canal Ring hotels, there’s no elevator.
