Michelin-starred master chef Rogér Rassin has been at the very top of his game since 2008 and consistently puts out superlative cooking using the very finest of seasonal ingredients. Located in Amsterdam’s spiffy InterContinental Hotel, La Rive’s dining rooms have the unruffled ambience of an English gentlemen’s club but the service from the accomplished waiting staff is happily unstuffy; however, it is advisable to look smart when you visit. The food itself is a thing of unparalleled beauty, each plate a delicate masterpiece of peerless modern cooking. Every night two menus are presented with six courses in each; dishes vary seasonally and may include Wagyu beef with Hollandaise, sea bass, or langoustines in a mild curry sauce.
