Jirye Art Village (Artists' Colony)
This artists' colony houses some cultural assets, like traditional houses and stone monuments, that were moved here due to the damming of the Imha area to create an artificial lake. This 350-year-old village has homes that have preserved traditions, including those still heated with wood. It's a bit out of the way, but a wonderful place to see traditional culture preserved in time. If you wish to spend the night in an old-fashioned Korean home, you can reserve a spot in advance and someone will pick you up from the bus or train station.
