L’Hôtel d’Anjou
A 2022 makeover has converted the historic Hôtel d’Anjou into one of the most stylish hotels in the region. Originally opened in 1857, the graceful hotel is found in the heart of Anger and a short walk to the château. Entirely refurbished, the bright guest rooms have chic decorative touches in greys, pumpkin and peacock green. The new bathrooms have treated marble or light wood counters and tub/showers or rain showers.
The hotel's reinvented restaurant, Odorico, pays tribute to Isidore Odorico, the Italo-Breton mosaic artist behind its stunning Art-Deco dining room. After a cocktail in its swank bar, feast on caramelized black tomatoes with tomato foam and rocket sorbet, grilled sea bass with fennel confit and figs in balsamic vinegar and “bread of Genoa” almond cake with roasted apricots infused with lemon balm. Main courses are 23€ to 29€ and fixed-price menus 25€ for lunch and 50€ for dinner.
