Le Palais de I'lle
This is the town’s most potent and most frequently photographed visual symbol. Built before the 18th century and connected to the “mainland” of Annecy via a bridge, it resembles a miniature château, surrounded by water, despite its long-term use as a prison (and certainly a very cold one) for local malefactors.
