Terraced in a cliffside overlooking Ffyes Bay, Sheer Rocks will have you in a swoon over the shimmering sea views and the flavorful, thoughtfully executed food. Looking like a rakish pirate ship sailing a green bluff, this series of bougainvillea-draped pavilions could be the best place to dine in Antigua at the moment. A small infinity pool is the place to dip your toes, and cushiony daybeds are there for horizontal chilling. The lunchtime tapas menu offers such delights as yellowfin tuna sashimi, porcini and truffle risotto balls, and zucchini and okra fries; you can also order Tuscan pan-fried pizza. In the evening, the kitchen shows some muscle with Chianti-braised beef short ribs, and does nuance just as impressively, as in lobster-tail ravioli or the Indonesian-inspired pan-roasted pork chop with vegetable curry and mango and plantain chutney. It's fun, it's fizzy, and it's fine dining to boot, right down to the well-chosen wine list and artisanal cocktails.
