This pleasant B&B, overlooking Dún Aengus Fort, may look austere outside, but inside it’s all cheerful, bright rooms and polished wood floors. Owner Teresa Joyce is extremely welcoming, and her family really does their best to make you feel at home. Guest rooms are surprisingly large, with wood floors and views across the island countryside. Teresa’s home-cooked breakfasts are delicious. (Try the creamy porridge made with whiskey or Bailey’s Irish Cream—come on, you’re on vacation!) You’ll need to fend for yourselves at dinner, but Teresa can recommend a couple of places in the nearby village—and one of the family can even give you a lift there and back. How’s that for hospitality?
