This characterful hotel may have seen better days, but it exudes a real sense of place and cultivates a friendly vibe. There are plenty of decorative overtures to the region’s culture and history, with pre-Columbian ceramics, heavy quotas of bamboo, and plant-filled public spaces. Large rooms could do with a makeover, but they are comfortable, bright, and clean. There’s a small pool, gym, and a restaurant (not very good, but breakfast is included).
