There's a reason why locals and tourists alike flock to this beach bar. While the food offers a taste of local cuisine (definitely try the Dutch apple cake with ice cream) and it's a perfect spot to grab lunch, it's the setting that couldn't get any better. Tables and chairs scattered in the sand offer an upscale version of picnic tables, and perks include remaining barefoot and in a bikini. The palapa bar has plenty of spots to grab a seat and really heats up come nightfall, with live music, DJs, and prime views of the sunset and tiki torches. The vibe is laid-back but the service is still attentive, and the seafood is fresh. Dishes incorporate a tropical flair with fun twists on seafood like the Cajun tuna tataki with mango mayo and piña colada shrimp with pineapple dip. Prices aren't too bad, either, especially considering the prime beachfront location close to the high-rises. Beach tennis is nearby and the ocean is just a few steps away, so if you want to take a dip or play a set before dining, go right ahead. Showers are next to the lounge chairs (not that it matters, since everyone is enjoying the sand and sun anyways).
