A Celtic-style pub that jumpstarted the craft beer movement in Asheville in 1996, Jack of the Wood is known for its primo beer selection and evenings of live music (mostly Irish-type sessions, or mountain fiddlers). So play darts, hang out at the long, dark bar, enjoy a plate of decent fish and chips, and soak in the mountain scene.
