It's kitschy, sure—a 65-ft. copper fish standing on its tail greets you out front—but don't let appearances deceive: Inside is some mighty fine seafood. Housed in a brick building inspired by a 1920s Savannah train station, the Atlanta Fish Market has a dramatic interior with a soaring ceiling, plush leather booths, and distressed pine tables; there's also an enclosed porch that feels very beachy. You'll find just about every seafood dish that your heart could desire, and it's all as fresh as it gets. Whether it's jumbo shrimp, Hong Kong-style sea bass, crab cakes with whipped scallion potatoes, sushi rolls, baked cod casino, or oysters and clams on the half shell, there's something that will make your stomach growl with desire. You'll also find steaks and chops, as well as a vast number of sides, many as Southern as they can get, like creamy coleslaw, cheesy grits, or hush puppies. The Key lime pie or the cheesecake with Oreo crust are just the icing on the cake. There's a gluten-free menu for those with dietary restrictions.
