This may be a chain, but it's a fine one at that. Housed inside the downtown location of the W Hotel, BLT Steak's Atlanta outpost is not your average hotel eatery; it boasts topnotch beef selected by Chef de Cuisine Jean-Luc Mongodin, in cuts that are naturally aged and served with a variety of decadent sauces. Black cod, salmon, roasted Maine lobster, and lamb are all also available. The sides are traditional American dishes with a twist: The macaroni 'n' cheese, for example, is cooked with bacon and truffle oil; the mashed potatoes are infused with jalapeño. BLT Steak also has a raw bar highlighted by lump crab cocktail, tuna tartare, oysters, clams, and shrimp. The atmosphere is every bit as swanky as the hotel itself—expect a dimly lit, intimate space with dark wood tables in the nod to "bistro" in BLT Steak (that's for Bistro Laurent Tourondel). With a raw bar and open kitchen (all the rage these days), this is very much a see-and-be-seen spot. BLT Steak now serves three meals a day.
