Welcome to the Mall Wars. Though they share a first name and are adjacent to each other, this newer shopping complex is locally owned and under different management than its Simon Property Group counterpart The Domain—thus the capitalized NORTHSIDE and the separate mall map that reads “Our SIDE has it all.” This vast retail complex does have a lot of fun local shops in addition to name brand boutiques like Apple and Ray Ban and anchors Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Dining here is a mix of local and national fast casual chains; there’s also a Whole Foods. The place to bunk is the hip Archer. The Warehouse District and SoCo have nothing to worry about, but lots of techies are likely to party at the bars and clubs of this complex’s Rock Rose entertainment district rather than driving downtown. Add the assets of the other mall that shall not be named, and you’ve got a pretty nifty mini-city—which is, of course, the goal of both.
