Arriving
By Train -- The rail station is at Largo da Estação (tel. 808/208-208). At least 30 trains per day make the 40-minute run from Porto. The fare is 13€ one-way. Some 29 trains arrive daily from Coimbra; the trip takes an hour and costs 13€ one-way. Twenty-six trains per day arrive from Lisbon; it's a 5-hour trip, and the one-way fare is 24€.
By Bus -- The nearest Rodoviária (national express bus company) station is at Águeda, 19km (12 miles) from Aveiro. Buses connect Águeda with the train station at Aveiro. For information and schedules, call tel. 23/442-35-13.
By Car -- Continue north along A1 from Coimbra to the junction with N235, which leads west to Aveiro.
