Those who perceive Provence as breakfast under an arbor, a lazy lunch, then a doze by the pool—all topped off by chilled rosé at sunset—have found the right place. What could be calmer than staying in a former 14th-century convent ringed by lavender-scented gardens in the historic suburb of Villeneuve? Individually styled rooms and suites are casually arranged over three ancient buildings. Original floors, hardwood furniture, and locally purchased antiques blend with marble bathrooms, fine linens, and modernist Louis XIV chairs. Lunch (fixed-price menu 36€–52€) and dinner (entrees starting at 42€) are prepared by Michelin star head chef Marc Fontanne. Luxurious locally sourced cuisine can be found on a variety of menus including the Garden Menu featuring vegeterian cuisine and the pre-fix Dedication Menu and Discovery Menu (110€–80€ respectivey).
