In two floors of the historic 1856 Camden Station, next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Sports Legends offers an engaging tribute to what is, arguably, Baltimore's foremost obsession. The Orioles and Ravens, of course, are given their due with lots of historical artifacts, trophies, and Halls of Fame. The Baltimore Colts, still beloved here, are also well represented, with special attention given to star quarterback Johnny Unitas. Exhibits also feature the Blast indoor soccer team, the Negro Leagues (particularly the Baltimore Elite Giants and Afro-American sports writer Sam Lacy) along with local high school, rec league, and college sports teams. A new exhibit recalls the contributions of Orioles manager Earl Weaver, who died in 2013. The best part of the enterprise may be the locker room with uniforms to try on. The station's own history during the Civil War is remembered in the Gentleman’s Waiting Room.
