Baltimoreans tend to think of Mother's as a sports bar. And it is that. But it has a number of other faces. The parking lot of this long-time Federal Hill tavern turns into the (crowded) Purple Patio during Ravens games. And behind the narrow bar area (with its always busy pool table), you'll find a spacious party room and upstairs area where special events regularly are scheduled—everything from beer pong tournaments to trivia games. Mother's is open for lunch and dinner every day and weekend brunch, with a menu of tavern favorites such as crab cakes, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, and entrees from fresh fish to steaks.
