If you imagine what a bar named 'Cheap Charlie's' would look like, you probably won't be far off the mark. It's just a streetside bar with a few stools at the counter (most customers stand in the street), and it's decorated with oddments like car number plates, wood carvings, and banknotes from many countries. It's hugely popular as a first stop on a night out, so it gets really crowded from around 6pm to 8pm. The beers aren't as cheap as they used to be, but it's still a great place to meet and chat with other tourists or expats hanging out here.
