One of several glampgrounds to open in Acadia’s neighborhood in recent years (the others are chains), Woods of Eden comprises six rustic-luxe wall tents close to the ocean and just a few miles from downtown Bar Harbor. All have private bathrooms, firepits, small porches, kitchenettes, and dining areas. It’s not much different than a cabin rental, except your exterior walls are made of canvas. Each tent (Bear, Loon, Moose, etc.) has its own layout and mix of queen and single beds—read the details of your booking, since some beds require climbing a ladder to get to (just like summer camp!).
