El Set

This casual spot in trendy Born specializes in good value sharing platters. It attracts a young traveler crowd and you may have to wait for a table, but the can-do manager will offer you a drink while he finds one. The menu is easily navigated—almost everyone chooses the beautifully presented charcuterie boards and selections of Catalan or Spanish cheeses, paired with Catalan wines at around 5€ a glass. The platters are generous—you can ask for a half portion but even then, you may need a doggy bag. If El Set is too full, try La Tinaja next door, which operates a similarly successful formula, surrounded by photogenic earthenware jars.
