Baxter’s Boat House

For waterfront dining in Hyannis, you can’t do much better than Baxter’s, set on a pier on Hyannis Harbor. It’s fun to sit out on the deck and watch the ferries, sailboats, fishing boats, and even a pirate cruise come and go from the harbor. The fare here is standard clam-shack cuisine, including fried fish with all the fixings. But you can’t argue with success; they’ve been doing their thing here since 1957, when the Baxter family ran a fish market out of the building. There is a lively bar scene here on summer nights; live entertainment starts at 9:30pm.
