Set in a conservation area just outside of the city, this is the only museum of its kind in France. You can head off along the walking and bike paths, all laid out around lakes, open spaces and rivers over 89 hectares (220 acres) of parkland. The Maison Barthe is the official museum space set at the entrance to the park, with information on activities, as well as temporary exhibits. A traditional Natural History museum forms a separate building.
